Ogunquit Motels

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Have you seen the prices of hotels lately? I have been looking at Ogunquit Maine hotels because I need to stay there soon and I really need to do the whole trip on a budget. Like everyone, we are finding money a struggle at the moment and it really helps if we do not have to pay out lots of money for trips like this.

It is an important trip, because I have the opportunity to promote my business and if that works then i could really begin to flourish. This is fantastic and that is why I am prepared to do the trip, but I still want to do it as cheaply as possible. Hopefully I will make the money back easily, but even if I do, if I can find cheap Ogunquit hotels then I will be able to make a really good profit. It is all about profits at the moment which is a shame but building up the business has been hard work and expensive and we want to start seeing some pay back for our efforts. I think I will move my search to Ogunquit motels as they may be cheaper and I do not mind staying in a motel, especially if it improves my profits.

I’m a vegan and I love it!
There is plenty of stuff that you can still eat that is yummy, and healthy!
I started out by just being a vegetarian. I was a veggie for about 3 years, then I slowly started taking other animals products out. First was milk, then cheese, then ice cream and so on. If you go to peta.com, that is a very helpful website. They can give you great recipes and ideas of what you can and cannot eat. Just take it slow and think of what you’ll be doing not only for your health, but for the animals AND the planet!

It’s not hard if you just give it your all!

Refrigeration engineering, Industrial refrigeration and ammonia refrigeration systems

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

The Refrigeration Engineering is used to lower the temperature from the substances or contents (i.e. removing the heat and adding the cold). These processes are maintained in the Mechanical Engineering Departments. The term defined as forming the temperatures at a cool state by manually is called as Cryogenics. The Industrial Refrigeration is used in the applications like processing of foods and keeps them as preservative in the chemical processing and the industries. Food processing is really essential, particularly while the food stuffs are to be imported to several different destinations.

When the food preservatives are taken in trucks to transfer from one place to other, they are processed by Industrial Refrigeration to keep the substances at a frozen state. The Ammonia Refrigeration Systems are used to do all kinds of the refrigeration and the cool conditioning tasks. To perform this task a substance called NH3 (Anhydrous Ammonia) is used, and it keeps the substances cool at a very low temperature. The substance Anhydrous Ammonia is the chemical in absence of H2O, and it does not vapor in the cool conditioning systems. Ammonia refrigeration will keep the substance safe from decaying and moreover helps them to remain fresh till they are dispatched.

Cooking Chicken?

Okay so, my mom went to work this afternoon and she told me to cook this chicken she got at the store for supper. She told me to put it in a pan, put some alluminum foil on it and bake it. Thats basically what I did. I lined the pan with aluminum foil, put a little water in it and put some foil over it. Its supposed to be lightly marinated, although it doesn’t look like it is. Will it be okay? Like, in taste and everything? I also heated the oven to 400, because it was really frozen, instead of 375. Will it make much of a difference? About 10 minutes ago, I took the foil off, because it didn’t look like it was cooking. Its been in there for about 30 minutes, the package said 50-60 minutes. I’m just wondering if its gonna be okay. I’m really stressed because I’m 15, haven’t cooked dinner before, and am babysitting 3 kids.

Take the foil off for good. Turn the oven to 350 and let bake til you see the skin turn brown. Pour some water in the pan for a juice then keep basting it every half hour. Do not worry you might not eat at the time you want but when it is done you whould let it sit for 15 minutes to let it cool so you can cut it and the juices don’t escape. My e mail is zing507@yahoo.com if you need me. I have 2 girls of my own that hate to cook,

———

You put a frozen chicken in the oven? Whole chicken, chicken parts, chicken casserole???

The question is a little confusing because if it frozen and a whole chicken it will take longer than 50-60 mins to cook.

Take the foil off the chicken and if you have any italian salad dressing you can pour some on the chicken while its cooking, BUT if it a casserole DO NOT add the salad dressing to it.

Also turn the oven down to 350 degrees and finish cooking at that temperature. There is no need to stress about it if it takes longer give the kids a snack and feed them dinner when its done cooking.

Rotate the pan by turning it around in the oven and the almost cooked pieces will cook faster.

Golden Girls birthday party for 24 year old- decorations, invitations, et c??

I’m turning 24 later this month and had the idea of throwing a Golden Girls party to celebrate(the show is kind of a silly joke among my friends) where everyone who attends dresses up like a Golden Girl. I’m working on the invitations now- I found a picture of the Girls online and I used Photoshop to superimpose my face over each of theirs…kind of funny. But I’m not sure on the wording for the invitation.

Also, what kind of decorations should I buy/make??

I love that idea…and I LOVED that show! they were so cute!
for invites say something like- Which Golden Girl Are You? then inside say you’re invited to Sarah’s 24th Golden Girl Birthday Party! Come dressed in your best Golden Girl look and best dressed gets a special prize. (you should get one of the Golden Girl DVD sets for the winner if it’s cheap enough!) We’ll have food, drinks and loads of fun. So, start diggin through grandmas closet and we’ll see you there! then party info of course.
for foods make sure to have Italian type stuff from Sophia, ice cream that they ate at night all the time (..or was it cheesecake?), and maybe some southern foods from Blanche…and what was Rose- Norwegian?
decorations- they lived in Florida in the 80s so any of those pastel palm designs or just pastel colors would be good. you could find some fabric at the craft store and use it for table cloths or fabric napkins. then just some balloons and streamers should be fine. maybe if you could find a cardboard cutout of the Golden Girls would be funny!
download that “Thank you for being a friend” song and play it a few times during the party!
you could make up Golden Girls trivia questions to play a game during the party- have a special prize for the winner.

In the lyrics they say that the card on the present would say “Thank you for being a friend”. You can write that at the beginning or the end of the invitation with little music notes around it.

Do they really put Feathers in McDonald’s Milkshakes?

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

I’ve heard they put feathers in McDonald’s milkshakes; that is why they are so ‘fluffy.’

Is that true?

Well there was a rumour that a girl nearly died after eating a McFlurry, cos there was a bird feather inside the McFlurry, and the girl was highly allergic to bird feathers. But this is a rumour, so bird feathers are not a stated ingredient in its production. :P
………………..
no of course not! Where ever you got that from, needs to get their facts straight. They pretty much concist of milk and flavouring, with a bit of ice. They are so fluffy because they have been mixed around so much, which makes them frothy, not fluffy
don’t worry, they are safe to drink. And by the way, if there were feathers in the drinkd, you would be getting bits of fluff in your mouth as you drank it
…..
Of course not! That wouldn’t do it, anyway! They puff air into the milkshakes, using the machine that they use to turn the ice milk into milk shakes
……………
No. That would be a serious health issue. They’re using the likeness to a feather to say it’s light and airy

Jura Capresso for Best-tasting Coffee Experience

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Modern society has incorporated coffee into a lot of social activities. When a guy asks a woman out, he asks her to have a cup of coffee with him. It is also customary that the morning beverage be coffee. A cup of coffee is also normally offered to a house or office guest. Most business meetings are also discussed over a cup of coffee. Such is the importance of this beverage that it is now normal to find a coffee shop in each street corner.

With the ever-increasing popularity of coffee and coffee shops it has been observed that the market for coffee paraphernalia and equipment has also skyrocketed. Since the need for coffee and coffee equipment has increased, more and more businesses are jumping to the bandwagon by banking on the coffee craze.

One such company is Capresso which is a privately held company in the United States. This company caters to the coffee-drinking public by providing high-end coffeemakers, grinders, espresso machines, and other kitchen electronic equipment.

The founder of Capresso, Incorporated was Michael Kramm. This company was founded only in 1994. Kramm is actually a native of Germany yet he went to the United States to try to develop the Krups market in the U.S. Kramm also serves as the president of Krups USA. He was also the one to introduce the American consumers to high-end European style coffeemakers. This very move launched the market for the U.S. in-home espresso. This market is now estimated at $200 million in retail.

One of Capresso’s most famous products is the Jura-Capresso automatic coffee centers. These coffee centers are marketed in the U.S. (a joint venture with Switzerland’s Jura AG) as automatic cappuccino and espresso units (Capresso being so-named, by Kramm’s wife for 35 years, as it means cappuccino and espresso put together).

This joint venture came into existence in 2003 when Capresso, Inc. has started to market Jura Capresso automatic coffee centers with Jura AG of Switzerland. Jura dominates the global market when it comes to the premium segment of automatic coffee centers. Over forty countries share this great product.

Other high-end products include the programmable coffeemaker called Coffee TEAM which comes with a built-in burr grinder in the shape of a cone. Another quality product is the Capresso MT500 a stainless steel lined drip coffeemaker.

Coffee drinking has never been this grand before. In fact, there is nothing simple about making and serving coffee anymore (unlike you’d like to settle for an instant coffee!). With these latest innovations in coffee drinking, no modern man should go without a Capresso product at home!

Going Kosher for Dessert

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

Making delicious dessert without having to compromise your religious beliefs is actually not that hard. There is a huge variety of food that has been approved as kosher so it’s not hard to use them as substitutes. Even chocolate has already been made kosher. When making a velvety and lovely chocolate cake, replace the chocolate ingredient with kosher chocolate. You can even melt them and use them for frosting. You can also use kosher chocolate for chocolate mousse or chocolate pudding. If you are an advanced baker, why not make kosher Black Forest Cake or tiramisu. It’s up to you.

Parve chocolate is another great substitute for making small bite-size snacks such as chocolate chip cookies or chocolate truffles. When baking, it’s advisable to use smaller pieces of chocolate instead of big blocks of them because the melting process will be longer causing the chocolate to be burned and come out bitter.

Gourmet chocolate coins are perfect for your baking needs. They are small and can easily be melted down in seconds. They also have a wider classification of flavors like Belgian chocolate and dairy milk as compared to the regular sweetened chocolate. And what’s more, kosher gourmet chocolate coins are also available so you don’t have to sacrifice flavor. The next time you are in the grocery and want something special for dessert, why not try kosher chocolate to make your special meals complete.
